Tay Ninh is ready for the 2025-2026 school year

The 2025-2026 school year officially began in an atmosphere of excitement and determination. Schools in Tay Ninh province are ready in terms of facilities and teaching staff. Students are well prepared and set goals for the new school year.

Ensuring facilities

Preparing for the new school year, the provincial Department of Education reviewed the entire school system from kindergarten to high school in 96 communes and wards; promptly repaired and upgraded degraded items and built new classrooms to meet the requirements of reducing the number of students per class, especially in border areas, remote areas. Currently, the province has 1,022 schools; the reasonable reallocation ensures enough places for students at all levels.

After more than 1 year of construction, Nguyen Thi Mot Secondary and High School (Can Giuoc commune) was inaugurated on June 26, 2025, including a 2-story main building with 25 classrooms and administrative items, traditional houses, multi-purpose houses, etc., meeting the learning needs of about 1,900 students. The school's classrooms are fully equipped with desks, chairs, boards, and televisions; the functional rooms are also fully equipped with facilities and equipment to serve teaching and learning activities.

Preparing for the opening ceremony and welcoming the new school year, Nguyen Thi Mot Secondary and High School thoroughly cleaned all classrooms, functional rooms, and the school grounds, and rearranged equipment and teaching aids to suit the needs in the new school year.

Principal of Nguyen Thi Mot Secondary and High School Vo Phuoc Nhan Tri said: “The new school is now a wonderful pedagogical environment with full facilities for teaching and learning activities. In addition to classrooms, functional rooms, and teaching equipment, the school also has trees, a clean water system, a fire prevention system. With the advantages of facilities, we will fully exploit the functions, effectively use them. In the new school year, the school is determined to perform well in the teaching task, achieve more achievements in the educational mission.”

In addition, the provincial education sector has also fully equipped the minimum teaching equipment according to the list of the Ministry of Education and Training, while prioritizing investment in subject classrooms, experimental and practice equipment, and information technology applications to serve the 2018 General Education Program. Up to now, the equipment has been reviewed and supplemented to ensure that it is put into use right from the beginning of the school year.

Ensuring the teaching staff

In preparation for the 2025-2026 school year, the provincial education sector has proactively implemented many synchronous solutions to ensure that the teaching staff meets the requirements in the new situation. Up to now, the sector has completed the work of mobilizing and arranging teachers appropriately for each subject and each locality; especially focusing on overcoming the local shortage of teachers and supplementing new subjects.

Training and coaching activities are implemented deeply and widely, focusing on innovating teaching content and methods according to new programs and textbooks, enhancing the application of information technology, and innovating testing and assessment according to the orientation of developing students' qualities and abilities.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Huynh Hoa, a literature teacher at Nguyen Trung Truc Secondary School (Ben Luc commune), shared, “During the summer, I researched my lessons and found more teaching methods. In particular, in July and August, I participated in many training courses on textbooks, periodic test development, periodic assessment, STEM, etc. To make the new school year go smoothly, as a 9th grade literature teacher and the head of the professional group, I always encourage teachers that right from the beginning of the year, when receiving professional assignments, they should develop the most thorough lesson plans and research methods, design lectures to make students more interested in class, meet the requirements of the 2018 General Education Program and unite and be determined to further improve the quality of education of the unit.”

The province is currently short of 2,673 teachers, most concentrated at the secondary level with 1,092 teachers, accounting for about 41% of the total number of teachers lacking in the province. To overcome this situation, the provincial education sector has reviewed and consulted with competent authorities to approve the sector's civil servant recruitment plan. Along with that, many solutions have been implemented such as coordinating with the People's Committees of communes and wards to develop plans to receive and recruit teachers.

At the same time, schools have proactively signed labor contracts according to regulations, invited teachers from neighboring schools or retired teachers, and organized inter-school teaching to promptly supplement human resources. The sector has also reviewed training needs and developed plans to order teacher training. From 2021-2024, the whole province has 1,324 ordered targets, of which 404 in preschool, 326 in primary, 594 in junior high - high school. In 2025 alone, it is expected that about 200 pedagogical students will graduate, contributing to supplementing the recruitment source.

In addition, communication work on policies to attract educational human resources according to the resolution of the Provincial People's Council continues to be promoted to encourage teachers to work in the province. "Hearing that the knowledge in grade 11 will be much heavier and more difficult than in grade 10, I spent time reviewing old knowledge to build a solid foundation as well as watching and learning the lessons of grade 11 in advance" - Ngoc confided.

In the 2025-2026 school year, Ngoc aims to achieve the title of "Excellent Student", in which all subjects are 9.0. Ngoc said: "I set such a goal to challenge myself and also to have a good foundation for important exams in the future."

With a clear goal, Ngoc started to implement it right from the beginning of the school year. Accordingly, she made a specific and reasonable self-study plan, not cramming too many subjects into a week, instead, she would prioritize spending time on weak subjects as well as arrange appropriate entertainment time to avoid getting discouraged during the learning process. In addition to the exercises in class, Ngoc would find more types of exercises on the Internet, proactively asking teachers about the parts she did not understand.

"I believe that, when following the plan, when it comes to exams, I will not spend too much time reviewing. In addition, to create motivation to study, I also set goals for myself when it comes to exams. When I achieve that goal, I will reward myself," Ngoc confided.

For Nguyen Ngoc Bao Tran - a student at Nguyen Thi Mot Secondary and High School, the 2025-2026 school year is the most important year in high school, the year marking the results after 12 years of studying.

Tran shared: "Entering the final year of high school, I have a lot of emotions; it is both an important school year and the last year of being attached to my beloved school, friends, and teachers. And most importantly, the good results of this school year will help me open the door to the future. Therefore, I set a goal of achieving the title of excellent student and having good results in the 2026 High School Graduation Exam to get into my favorite university."

To achieve that goal, during the summer, I proactively reviewed my old knowledge from grades 10 and 11 and previewed lessons from grade 12 to best prepare for the new school year. Tran is also determined to study seriously from the beginning of the year, especially promoting the spirit of self-study.
