Continuing to prioritize high-performance sports
According to the Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center, in order for provincial sports to continue to achieve achievements, the sports sector always prioritizes the development of high-performance sports with the common goal of gradually perfecting the facilities to meet the training and coaching work.
In particular, focusing on improving the quality of athlete selection and training in strong sports and developing potential sports, creating a new breakthrough to achieve high rankings in National Sports Festivals, national and international tournaments.
In athlete selection, it is necessary to ensure strictness, science, publicity, and transparency to improve the input quality associated with maintaining training in 3 levels: gifted athletes, youth athletes and provincial athletes.
According to Mr. Nguyen Bao Hoan, although the sports sector has encountered many difficulties due to the arrangement and merger of administrative units and difficulties in facilities for training and competition, up to now, the organizational structure of the unit has been operating stably. The unit has also developed a plan for training and developing human resources to serve the work of management, operation, training, science, technology, sports medicine and other specialized fields, meeting the requirements and tasks in the new period.
At the same time, the unit focuses on training the coaching staff, especially young coaches with professional qualifications and good moral qualities, in conjunction with close coordination with the National Sports Training Center, training facilities, and sports clubs to support the selection, training, and development of sports talents, especially in strong sports such as swimming, athletics, volleyball, wrestling, bodybuilding, and martial arts.
"The impressive achievements of the provincial Sports Training Center in recent years not only reflect the right direction chosen but also demonstrate the relentless efforts of athletes and coaching staff. With the existing foundation and the determination and efforts of the entire sector, we will certainly build a solid foundation for the province's sports to reap more achievements" - Mr. Nguyen Bao Hoan said./.
